Every week, we go through our suggestion box next to the stage and our team goes through every submission and tally them up, and we then vote on which topics would be fun to do during our early bird talks sessions on Thursdays and Fridays. This week’s topic is small businesses! Many of our subscribers have been writing to us as well, and more specifically, they are very interested in the wholesale and resale industry. Many of our subscribers are both online retailers and ladies/gents that run brick and mortar stores. We know that trying to run a brick and mortar store out of New York City is tough. We will be talking about wholesale, retail, distributing, manufacturing, logistics, and everything involved in the business over the course of two days while our performers are prepping. We already had over a dozen emails from subscribers are very interested in the topic and have a lot of information to contribute. We have heard from owners of companies who wholesale socks and hosiery, eye wear, apparel, and electronics. This is a great opportunity for may of you to network and get to know other players in your industry!

  1. Amy Connelly – Brick and mortar stores selling general merchandise in Brooklyn, NY. Has been in business since 2008 and has some tips for anyone who is looking to open a store in Brooklyn or Queens.
  2. Michael Norton – Wholesaler of a wide range of products with a warehouse of over 100,000 products. Some of these wholesale products include socks, toys, electronics, gifts, eye wear, apparel, and much more.
  3. David Amber – Operates primarily online and is a power seller. Has worked with drop shippers and wholesalers. Mentioned that he has a lot of great tips for people who are starting out in the world of e-commerce. Primarily sells pet supplies and accessories.
  4. Elizabeth Wang – A distributor and online seller of private label poker chips, playing cards, poker tables, and a lot of casino equipment.
